Slovácké strojírny, a. s. is one of the most important industrial companies in the Zlín Region with more than sixty years of tradition in advanced engineering production. Slovácké strojírny entered the new millennium as a modern company fully adapted to the competitive environment of the market economy. The company has created conditions for a continuous process of internal cost savings, production flexibility, ensuring the required quality of produced products and a substantial increase in labour productivity.
This fact has made it possible to apply our production to developed markets (mainly Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland) in the past, to resume the export of aluminum cranes to the markets of Egypt and Russia. Filling the production capacities with a guaranteed return on invested funds provides a prerequisite for stability and prospects of the joint-stock company in the future.
The correctness of the internal restructuring process of the company in all areas of its activities was confirmed in June 1998 by obtaining the ISO 9001 certificate and defending it in the following years. Since 2009, the company has been a holder of the environmental certificate ČSN EN ISO 14001:2005
After 2000, the company’s development focused on penetrating into other areas of business, and so in 2000 the company entered the company MEP Postřelmov, a. s. In 2009, the two companies merged, which continue to operate under the company Slovácké strojírny, a. s.
A significant impetus for the further development of the company was the year 2006, when the shares of NH Zábřeh were 100% controlled. s. with a subsequent merger in November 2006. This step significantly expanded the company’s production capacities and its production and technological capabilities.
In 2011, the company purchased the ownership rights to the debtor’s business TOS a. s. based in Čelákovice in bankruptcy and thus expanded its product portfolio to include the production and supply of CNC lathes, grinding machines and gear cutting machines.
In 2012, the expansion of the company continued with the purchase of 100% of the shares of Krušnohorské strojírny Komořany a.s., based in Most. That year also saw the merger of the two companies. The new plant operates in the field of maintenance of mining machines in Vršanská uhelná a. s. and Litvínovska uhelná a. s. and carrying out general repairs of equipment for open-pit coal mining and treatment.
At present, Slovácké strojírny and. s. is a modern technological company offering its business partners extensive technological possibilities of production in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering together with qualified workers of all necessary professions.
