The grinder is designed especially for automatic sequential grinding of multiple external cylindrical surfaces of different diameters and adjacent face surfaces and radii in one to two workpiece clamping. It also allows grinding of external conical surfaces, in other designs also grinding of internal cylindrical and conical surfaces.
The grinder is designed especially for plunge-cut and longitudinal grinding. Cylindrical surfaces wider than the width of the grinding wheel are ground mainly by successive recesses with longitudinal regrinding of the entire surface after the last plunge.
The grinder also allows grinding of shaped surfaces by interpolation in the coordinate axes X1 and Z1, or in another product design in combination with interpolation in the C axis (workpiece rotation). Also supplied as standard are the control of the constant circumferential speed of the grinding wheel C1, the control of the workpiece speed C8 and the electric feed of the tailstock quill when fixing the workpiece with the setting and control of the constant magnitude of the set contact force – W1 axis. In another version, the grinder allows grinding of non-round shapes, crankshafts, profiles and e.g. and the outer surface of the helix even with variable pitch by a combination of interpolations between controlled axes of the product. The grinder is suitable for grinding shaft-shaped workpieces with a requirement for accuracy and alignment of individual diameters.
The grinder can be used for grinding in piece and series production.
In another version of the machine, it is possible to equip the machine with automatic grinding unit rotation (B1 axis). The grinder can also be equipped with multiple grinding headstocks. Both significantly expand its technological
possibilities.
