The activities of the 07 MEP POSTŘELMOV plant continue the tradition of the electrotechnical company, which was founded in 1931 by the German entrepreneur J. Wagner from Olomouc.
In the post-war period, the company was nationalized and renamed MEZ, later renamed MEP Postřelmov a. s. The development of our own know-how in the rail transport segment, especially resistive devices, DC quick circuit breakers, switchboards, electromagnets, traction devices and cabinets, together with the relevant certifications in the field, enables competitiveness on the market. The plant has a long-term cooperation with traditional Czech companies ŠKODA ELECTRIC and ŠKODA Transportation, CEGELEC, CZ LOKO and Czech Railways. Over the past ten years, the world’s leading companies in the field – ALSTOM, General Electric, SIEMENS, MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC and others – have become the largest customers and partners.
The plant in Postřelmov includes the Aluminium Foundry and Plating Plant, which are being developed as independent technological units within the company Slovácké strojírny, a. s.
