Slovácké strojírny, a. s., Zábřeh plant is part of Slovácké strojírny, a. s. Uherský Brod. The company is an important supplier of engineering units for major global companies in the field of coal mining, metallurgy, heavy and precision engineering. The Zábřeh plant is itself a supplier of precision machine parts, weldments and switchboard cabinets. It uses modern technologies in metal machining, forming and welding. Chemical-thermal treatment of materials is also one of the plant’s important technologies.

Plant 9 in Zábřeh is currently focused on the production of engineering assemblies and subassemblies, which enter the final assemblies carried out in plants 1 and 2 in Uherský Brod. It is also a manufacturer of a unified series of cabinets for electrical switchboards of the DISTRIBOX brand and mechanical parts of machines for mounting printed circuits used in the electrical industry. An important technological element is the centre for heat treatment and refining of materials by surface hardening, water or oil quenching, nitriding, carburising and cementation.
